Christmas at St. Martin's

Turning the World Upside Down

Advent is a time of waiting and preparing for Incarnation –
the revelation of God in human form.

Whenever we behold this miracle, it turns our world upside down,
showing us truths about ourselves and the world that we never imagined.

So, to prepare ourselves for this incredible gift,
we are going to practice shifting our perspective, learning to look at things in new ways.

The traditional Advent themes of Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love will guide us through the season,
as we learn to look with new eyes and new hearts for the presence of the Holy,
who is turning everything upside down…
and right way up.
